Strasbourg Age Friendly
The Strasbourg Age-Friendly Recreation Board was founded in 2023 as a sub-group of the Strasbourg Recreation Board to focus on creating an Age-Friendly Community within Strasbourg and the surrounding area.
Over the last two-and-a-half years, we have worked with both the Saskatchewan Seniors’ Mechanism (SSM) and New Horizon’s bringing in a total of $66,000 into the community to better the lives of Seniors.
We have used this money to hire a Senior Communications Officer, as well as to provide many programs and services such as our Toonie Lunch, Wellness Clinics, No One Eats Alone meals, foot care, Meals on Wheels, education events, Taxi Service, Snow Angels program, Bi-annual Window Washing, and many more.
We are privileged to have partnered with the Town of Strasbourg, Strasbourg EMS, WDS, Shared Ministry, Strasbourg Branch Library, Strasbourg CO-OP, Quilter’s Guild, Strasbourg Clinic, Strasbourg & District Fire & Rescue, as well as countless volunteers.
