Rick Schulz

My name is Richard Schulz and I retired to Strasbourg in August 2022 with my wife Jan. This is my second time living in Strasbourg. I served as the Lutheran Pastor for the St. John and Norrona Lutheran Parish from July 1998 until June 2002. I have been an ordained Lutheran Pastor since June 1998.

Ministry has taken me to Strasbourg, Winnipeg, MB, Vernon, BC, Kelowna, BC and Gimli, MB. Living in these different communities has given me a wide range of experiences as to what community life can be and as such I feel I will bring a different perspective to Town Council.

I was born and raised on a farm in Wynyard, Saskatchewan and am a good example of the fact that you can take the boy from the farm but you can't take the farm from the boy. I also enjoy gardening, golfing, music and am learning to play bass guitar, cooking, camping and traveling. I am also a die-hard Rider fan and have said that I bleed green. I love the community of Strasbourg and feel blessed to have been able to retire here. I look forward to the opportunity to make the Town of Strasbourg even better.
