Lions Park

While in Strasbourg, check out the new, beautifully-enhanced Strasbourg Lions Park, located off Highway 20 and Edwards Street. Constructed between 2020-2023, the Lions Park was developed to enhance an underutilized park space, while being eco-conscious and preserving the natural beauty of the area. Between several provincial and federal grants, plus donations from the public, the Park was able to be constructed. An unofficial ribbon cutting ceremony was held in August 2023 with the local MLA and Premier of Saskatchewan in attendance. The official grand opening for the Park was held June 22, 2024.

The Lions Park features:

    • A 40 foot diameter splash park with a recycled water system
    • Three-season accessible washrooms
    • 2000+ linear feet of asphalt walking trails with solar path lighting and custom-made bridges
    • A memorial garden with a pondless waterfall
    • A 55 square foot pickleball court
    • 1,000 square foot picnic shelter with a natural gas BBQ
    • 12 community garden boxes
    • Seniors exercise equipment
    • Custom-made park benches and picnic tables
    • Free Wi-Fi provided by FlexNetworks
    • Parking available off Edwards Street and from the back alley

We encourage anyone wanting to use the picnic shelter to book it ahead of time for your event. The booking will give you a code to use the natural gas BBQ free of charge. Please fill out the Picnic Shelter Reservation Form and submit it to the Town Office at strasbourg@sasktel.net.

As per Bylaw No. 437/23, the Town permits alcohol to be consumed within the confines of the Picnic Shelter only. It cannot be consumed anywhere else within the Park grounds.
